  several threads on here about the excellent bbc r4 programme this week ('the report') focussing on rape and abuse in barry, south wales, jws.

  fat pervert mark sewell later got 14 years and i hope he is enjoying every minute of it.. the courageous ladies who spoke on the programme were articulate, reasonable and made a tremendous impression.. the quote in the thread title made an impression on me, and i hope, on all listeners.. forget religious, theological, 'biblical' issues and cut to the basics.

  a rape victim was asked to demonstrate - to demonstrate, ffs - to three unqualified (middle-aged at least, presumably) men just how far her legs were apart when she was raped.. i have rarely heard anything so outrageous, and i used to investigate rape and abuse in my profession.

  Reading all this has really got my blood boiling! This 'religion,' and their sick, perverted elders must be held accountable. Like the saying goes, "think globally, ACT LOCALLY." In other words, if we each do our part on a local level, then there should be a cumulative effect over time...combined with the negative publicity in the news networks, which should force the WTBS to change, or die. The Texas billboard is a good example. With that in mind, is there anyone from Oklahoma, USA on this thread??

  Hmm. In the US, we often get BBC news and commentary through Nat'l Public Radio (NPR). Would be nice if this piece were to air on the same program, and reach a wider audience.

  was talking to an ex-bethelite who is still very well-connected to those in the ivory tower.. he says that there will soon be a(nother) large number of us bethelites who will be "reassigned to the field" as pioneers and special pioneers.. he did not give his source, but he is pretty reliable.

  incidentally, he was "reassigned to the field" in the last big purge about 7 years ago.. i imagine those so reassigned would be pretty teed off.

  let go just before the golden lakeshore palace was completed..

  He has a piddling little minimum-wage 10 or 15 hour part time job somewhere, and daddy pays for pioneering ($25,000 Jeep, free gas & health insurance, free rent to live at home, free family vacations to Europe, etc.)

  Is daddy a JW too? Sounds like a well-traveled, possibly educated, man-of-world. Hence, you'd think some of it would rub off on junior. I sure as hell wouldn't let my son waste his youth driving Miss Daisy around town. F$ck that!

  And don't discount the many people visiting who may have been victimized as as child, or know someone who has. This site allows networking between these people, to contact others, including media, and experienced child abuse lawyers. You can't put a price on that, because it's...priceless. And if you still don't believe it, look no further than the 'Occupy' movement, the Arab Spring, or Anonymous. These forms of free social media have brought down tyrannical leaders, and have shaken stalwart institutions to their core. Think, NSA, for example.

  But, yeah, the billboard helps too. 😊

  this website is running out of gas, and all your anti-jw comments here are useless and have no effect at all. you don't qualify to wage war on jw because first of all you guys are BROKE! and you don't have powers of any sort! bluntly you guys are not equipped at all.

  I actually do pretty well for myself, financially. Now, as for 'beating my chest,' I think I pointed out that the work at my particular church is less than adequate...but we try. I wish we could do more. I might also point out that there are many secular organizations (Red Cross, United Way, Volunteers of Am) who also do great work.

  You still haven't proclaimed yourself to be a JW, but you're quite the defender of the faith. The only problem is, that your spelling, grammar, incoherency, and seemingly hateful attitude towards anyone who questions the JW faith, doesn't help your cause. In fact, you're embarrasing yourself, and other, more reasonable JWs who might visit this site. The very fact that you haven't proclaimed yourself to be a JW, while defending them so voraciously, would indicate to me, that you are conflicted. Again, Jehovah knows your heart, as welll as your mingling with 'apostates' on this site.

  Either he's pulling our legs, or he/she has a mental disorder. Either one might explain the self-contradiction and overall incoherency of his/her posts.

  As for my being an 'apostate,' I have actually never been a JW. My Christian associations are with the D.O.C. (Disciples of Christ). Like the JWs, we are pretty 'works oriented.' However, our works revolve around helping others, no matter what their faith or background. We've cleaned up neighborhoods in underpriveleged areas, we've offered shelter to the homeless, we've put together our own missions to other countries to help with water filtration...to ANYBODY. And by the way, we're NOT the ONLY denomination who does this kind of work. Ever heard of the Salvation Army??

  All this work is only a fraction of what's needed. But we try. We try to imitate Jesus as best we can. By following his example as outlined in Acts 20:35.

  I wonder how Dedorio imitates Jesus? If at all.

  Because, if so. Then you are commiting a disfellowshipping offence by taking part in bad associations...with known apostates.

  I'm sure that if your elders, or CO knew of your visits to this site, they would move promptly to a judicial comittee. Furthermore, you may think that no one knows your actual identity. But Jehovah knows. Why would you brazenly defy Jehovah by mingling with apostates? Or do you really, deep down, harbor some doubts about God's 'true' organization. Well, Jehovah can read those doubts too.

  Jehovah aside, one with a bit of internet savvy, and basic hacking skills, could easily find your IP address, and your geographic location down to a few city blocks. From there, it would be simple to find which Kingdom Halls serve your area, and warn the elders that one of it's members, with internet protocol of XX.XXXX.... is a brazen mingler among apostates. Since you probably bring an ipad, or iphone, with your KHs IP address stored in the device for automatic log-in, then it would be pretty easy to check the router for your device's IP.

  This could be going on as I type this.

  Be afraid, very afraid.
